Joseph Drogos is a Chicago teacher and writer. He earned his MA in the humanities from the University of Chicago, and his BA in English from Georgetown University. He writes the blog and column The Silver-Colored Yesterday for MAKE magazine and teaches the humanities at Malcolm X College. He’s taught English and Latin at several college prep schools across the country, been a newspaper reporter, and has been paid to work in a hospital, to make coffee, to paint houses and to dig ditches.
